I followed my art interest developed in high school through college and career. I taught studio art and art history on the college level. My most recent teaching was at the U of I, Chicago.
My older son is autistic and this has propelled me into advocacy for individuals who have disabilities. On February 5, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 5 pm, at Beth Hillel Congregation Bnai Emunah, 3220 Big Tree Rd., Wilmette there is an accessible musical program that offers features for this audience. This program is enjoyable for everyone. The Inclusion committee at BHCBE also has Friday and Saturday inclusion services. Our mission is to provide a welcome to people with challenges in the greater community. Please feel free to ask me about any of these programs.
As you can imagine, I'm pretty busy with all of this. Art and advocacy are very rewarding each in their own way.
