Worked as an autoworker for 33 year in Detroit, active and held office in UAW. Still active in the union and in the community living in Detroit. Active in the Bernie Sanders campaign.

Student in France in 1968 and participated in the student movement there. Still maintain international ties through this experience and international union activity through the union magazine Labor Notes.

School Story

Appreciated my experience in the Civil Rights Movement in Evanston, particularly the discussions about race relations that were organized during homeroom for our senior year.

I got called to the office for distributing flyers about a Northwestern tutoring program based in Chicago. The ETHS bus in this program had some great discussions.

I enjoyed participating in the production of the Gondoliers and the ETHS Marching Band. When I got to USC, they still were not allowing women!

Andy was a friend of mine in high school but I never connected with her later on in life and regret this. So sorry to hear of her premature passing..

I believe Jeffery is the third classmate to die from COVID19 or is it more? I agree, everyone get the vaccine, wear a mask and abide by social distancing.

I missed Darryl at our most recent reunions and heard sadly about his illness. We were friends at Dewey School and reconnected at reunions both of us having spent our adult lives in Detroit. He was well known as a basketball player at the University of Detroit and then went on to a high profile job with HAP, a health insurance company. I would enjoy seeing his name in their monthly newsletter. So sorry to hear of his early death.
